What is a “Mini Session”?The Mini Session is a 20-25 minute photo shoot that is offered on a limited number of dates throughout the year. Dates and locations are announced periodically through email, facebook and the website.

This was my fist engagement shoot. It was so fun that I want to say yes! to every engaged couple that asks in the future. I don't do weddings, so I have always said no to the engagements - boy, was that a mistake. I said yes to this sweet couple because they are special to me. The groom is my son's cello teacher, and when I talked to his fiance for the first time on the phone, I was so excited for the shoot. They were so, so cute!! Just look at them!! It made me remember this time in my own life and how exciting everything was. Not that having 3 kids and driving to either soccer, cello, or ballet everyday isn't a blast. I'm just sayin - it was a different kind of fun...

I just love this family! I photographed the little one when he was in his mommy's belly. I can't believe he is already one. He has the greatest big brother and sister too:)

Due to popular request, I am scheduling school picture - "micro" sessions again this March. If you are unhappy with your child's school pictures, this is another option. Micro sessions are 5-10 minutes in length and are meant for ONE child only. You will have 10 - 20 proofs in a password protected gallery from which to choose your favorites. If you would like pictures of multiple children, you may schedule back to back sessions for each child. This is my good friend Erin, her husband, Jason, and their beautiful new baby. This shoot was extra special for me because Erin is not only a close friend, but she is an incredible graphic designer and blogger. She designed my cool logo that I love. Her website is Erin Vale Design if you want to check it out. Our husbands are close too, so it's been entertaining for us to watch Erin and Jason go through a pregnancy and become new parents. Our youngest baby is 7 now, so the memories of what we went through during that time in our lives is still kinda fresh. Right now, Erin and Jason are enjoying the sleepless haze that comes with getting up every few hours to change and feed the baby. And everything about their lives is revolving around this little, tiny human. The next thing they'll know is that little G won't want them to give her a kiss when they drop her off at school. It goes so unbelievably fast.

I love watching the dynamics between family members. They are all different. I especially love watching the siblings interact. I often use one sibling as my assistant to get another to laugh. They are all just super cute, like little bear cubs.

I'm in love with this picture! The wife/mother of these two handsome fellas emailed be about a minute after I had her gallery up because she was over the moon about it. Yes, I'll have to do this pose more often.

I tried a few new things with this shoot. I've been feeling like I've been in a creative rut lately, so I pushed myself this time and tried some new poses. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the ultrasound pics. I think I will be doing that again. We also had a lot of fun with the marker pictures at the end. And the kids REALLY had a good time. In my house, the baby always got markered on by a sibling at some point. Hmmm... I'll have to see if I can dig those pictures up.

This was a lot of fun. A shoot on a sailboat. It was new for me, but I'm always up for trying something new. We don't have a lot of water in Indiana, but this is the perfect spot for sailing. The girls were troopers. It ended up being one of the windiest days ever and I even saw a sailboat turn over while photographing my family sailing from the shore. The family I was shooting was experienced and safe though. Great day...
