Your questions, answered.
Booking and Pricing
-
Not as a set price list — every session varies by length, location, and scope, so a fixed number wouldn't actually be accurate for most people. Mini sessions are a lower-cost way to start if you're not sure what you need yet. A quick call gets you a real number fast.
-
Your session fee or the full session is due at the time of booking (depending on the type of session you want) to hold your date and time. If payment isn't received within 36 hours of booking, the booking isn't held.
-
Reach out at least 48 hours before your session and we'll find a new date at no extra cost. Inside that 48-hour window, or for a no-show, the session fee isn't refundable — that window is what lets me keep offering flexible scheduling to everyone on the calendar.
Preparing for Your Session
-
This is such a big questions, it gets its own guide — reach out and I'll send you the full prep guide covering wardrobe, hair and makeup, and what to bring.
-
Yes — my studio is ADA compliant and located on the ground floor, with no stairs to navigate. Everyone is welcome here, and if you have specific accessibility needs, just let me know when we talk.
-
ABSOLUTELY! The more we prepare, the better the session will be. Please reach out to schedule a phone call, or I might reach out to you first.
During Your Session
-
Yes — I shoot tethered, meaning every image appears on a screen the moment it's taken. We pick favorites together in real time, not after the fact.
-
Both. My studio in Broad Ripple has sprung floors, a changing area, and space for hair and makeup — or I'll come to you. Whichever fits your session better.
-
Yes — You will come with a list of poses as a starting point and we will help you. A professional dancer works alongside me, giving real-time coaching on technique also.
After Your Session
-
Generally one to two weeks, and shorter turnaround is available for special situations.
-
It’s pretty standard. Moonbug retains copyright on all session images, including digital files, and may use them for portfolio, marketing, and promotional purposes. You're granted printing rights and can download and use your digital files for personal printing through your vendor of choice. Images can't be edited, retouched, or entered into contests, given to retail companies without written consent, and can't be sold or transferred to a third party.

Yes!
Studios, Schools & Companies
-
Every school runs differently — some have every student participate, some make it voluntary, some want team photos alongside individual portraits. The plan is built around your school's actual format, not a one-size-fits-all package. I handle parent communication directly once picture day is scheduled, and families can preview their photos online before purchasing.

Yes — I'm the photographer behind Indianapolis Ballet's full photography needs (performances, marketing, individual portraits, and headshots) and I shoot performance photography for Dance Kaleidoscope.
